The report is about a different company, or a quote looks wrong
Names that collide with other things can pull in the wrong evidence. Here is how to prevent it, and how we fix a report with a material error.

Why it happens
Some names are shared with other companies, people, places or ordinary words. PollyX filters for mentions of your subject, but a name like "Apple" or "Shell" can still let unrelated evidence through.
Prevent it next time
- Fill in Not about with what shares the name ("the fruit", "the football club"), and Also known as with your other names. The suggestion card under the name field offers both. See Avoiding mix-ups with similar names.
- Add the Industry and a Location / Market.
- Add your Website, so your own accounts are recognised.
Report an error
If a report contains a factual error, a misattributed quote, or a source about a different company, email contact@pollyx.org with the report link and what is wrong. We correct it, and where the error was material we regenerate the report at no charge.
