Your website's AI readiness grade

PollyX runs 17 checks on how easily AI assistants can read your site, grades it A to E and gives fixes you can paste.

What is checked

Using your website (or, if you left it blank, the official site from public records), PollyX reads the site the way an AI crawler would:

  • Answer-time crawlers. Whether your robots.txt lets in the bots assistants use when answering a question live, such as ChatGPT-User, OAI-SearchBot, Claude-User, PerplexityBot, Googlebot and Bingbot. Blocking these keeps you out of live answers, so it counts most.
  • Training crawlers. Whether bots that collect training data, such as GPTBot, ClaudeBot and Google-Extended, are allowed. This is reported but never marked as a failure: blocking them is a legitimate choice.
  • llms.txt. Whether the site publishes a summary file for AI tools.
  • The homepage itself, and text readable without JavaScript: how many words are in the page as your server sends it. Most AI page readers do not run JavaScript, so a page that builds itself in the browser can look almost empty to them.
  • Search engines may index and quote the page: no noindex or nosnippet instruction, which would keep the page out of Google's AI Overviews and AI Mode.
  • Structured data, and company details in it: an Organization block with your logo and links to your official profiles (sameAs).
  • Title and description, the sitemap, and recently updated pages (the newest date in your sitemap).
  • An FAQ or help page, clear headings, About and contact pages, a canonical address, the page language and link preview tags (Open Graph).

Problems are listed first. The result is a score out of 100 and a grade from A to E, weighted towards what matters most (answer-time crawler access, then what a reader without JavaScript sees). The checklist grew from 7 to 17 checks on 30 October 2026, so a grade from before that date was worked out on fewer checks.

Fixes

Fix these first lists what to change, most important first. When llms.txt or the company's structured data is missing or incomplete, Fix kits, ready to paste gives you a draft of each, with [bracketed] placeholders for you to fill in: PollyX never writes your brand's description for you.

Note: Scheduled tracking runs use the website from public records, so a site you typed by hand on the first check may not be the one graded on later ones.
